Our charpai collection brings a piece of rural Pakistani tradition to the dining table, at mini scale. Each piece is a hand-painted wooden charpai measuring roughly 12 inches long, 10 inches wide, and 3.5 inches high, built as a decorative serving base rather than a functional bed.
The wood frame is finished with chamakpatti detailing, the same reflective, multi-color technique seen on painted trucks, in designs ranging from Yellow Chamakpatti and Maroon to White Peacock and Royal Black. Several versions, like the Grey Charpai With Containers, add small serving containers built into the frame for desi dishes, chutneys, or condiments at the table.
