Before electricity reached most homes, a lantern like this was the actual light source in the room — and ours keeps that function intact rather than turning it into a purely decorative shell. Each one is a genuine gas lantern, hand-painted metal and glass, 12 inches tall, that lights when filled with kerosene oil, the same way it would have generations ago.

That said, most people buying one today use it as much for the visual as the function — a vintage-shaped piece that reads as an art object whether it's lit or sitting empty on a shelf. The collection includes a plain white Truck Art design alongside several floral options: Amber, Blue Flower, Two Roses, Yellow Flower, Purple Flower, and Pink Flower, each hand-painted onto the metal frame around the glass.

Because it's a functional oil lantern rather than an electric or battery-powered fixture, it doesn't need charging, wiring, or a power source — light it when you want it, let it sit unlit as decor the rest of the time. That makes it a genuinely different kind of lighting piece than the candle-holder or LED lanterns most home decor stores carry.

Each lantern is hand-painted and made to order, so allow a short processing window, and expect small natural variation in the painted detailing from piece to piece.
